We welcome all guests who have shown interest in attending board meetings. However, this is a formal business meeting and must be treated as such. With that in mind, please be advised that the following rules are in effect for guests at this and all future board meetings of Longwood Court Homeowners Association: 1. No interruptions will be allowed during the approval of the minutes, officer reports, old business, or new business. All questions or comments are to be held until the end of the meeting during open discussion. The only exception to this rule will be for guests who have been invited by the President to present a report at the meeting. 2. Questions will gladly be taken by the board during the Open Discussion time at the end of the meeting. All questions will be answered by the President, unless deferred to another board member by the President. 3. All guests must be recognized by the President before speaking. Please signify your wish to speak with a raised hand. Anyone who calls out or speaks out of turn will not be acknowledged or allowed to continue. 4. In the interest of fairness, each guest may ask only one question, until all guests have had a chance to speak. After that, guests may be recognized by the President to ask additional questions. 5. Since other groups also meet at the library, we may occasionally be under time constraints to vacate the room by a certain time. Please keep your questions and comments brief and to the point so that all may have the chance to speak. 6. This time is designed for the benefit of all in attendance. If your question pertains to a repair or other issue that affects only you or your unit, please hold your question and get with the appropriate officer after the meeting. If you are unsure of who the appropriate officer may be, please ask. 7. Please remember at all times that we are guests of the library. Keep your voices at a reasonable decibel level. Please respect the library’s rules and do not bring food or drink into the meetings. |
